glider

Why is it so difficult to find a rocking chair these days? For one, apparently that's not what they're called anymore. They're now known in the world of retail as "gliders"; who knew? I found a good looking, comfortable, and not too gigantic one at Crate & Barrel for $999. Not exactly cheap. Maybe it'll go on sale...? The Hathaway is available in 15 different colors.

it's a whole new vocabulary: rockers are now gliders and recliners (god help us) are called relaxers. thankfully all of them can look so much better than they ever did before! my sister is pregnant, expecting in november and we have started carrying a custom order line of sustainably produced gliders so that she can order one, too! we love the fabric options, from thomas paul to lovely lush vintage feeling fabrics - we don't have them up yet on our site, but you can find contact info at http://redinfred.blogspot.com
rock on! *wink...
