black velvet
I am in love with this black velvet Napoleon dining chair from Jayson Home & Garden (on sale for $300). I can just imagine it in a room painted dove gray against this yellow silk curtain.

light-emitting wallpaper
Leave it to a Dutch designer to come up with something this cool.

iloinen takki
I recently saw this Iloinen Takki dress by Marimekko for sale that I wore as a kid. Above is a picture of me and my grandma in 1978 or so.

enamelware
We're really into enamel these days. These vintage-looking pans are from Manufactum, a German company with a great philosophy.

chausser shoes
My shoe-obsessed co-worker told me about Chausser, a small Japanese company that I was able to check out while in Tokyo. Their shoes are incredibly well-made and beautiful, albeit pricey. Unfortunately, they are hard to find in the U.S. Only men's shoes are sold here.

brooklyn flea!
Today I was so excited to go to the first Brooklyn Flea, only 7 blocks from my apartment! I think Chairloom (top left and right) was my favorite booth, aesthetically speaking, but there was a lot of great stuff, all around. I scored a fantastic vintage pot from Birch (above), a dead ringer for the pot posted in a picture on design*sponge on Friday. I can't wait till next Sunday!

culinhome hibiscus
I wish I had an excuse to buy these beautiful hibiscus knives and cutting board from CulinHome. Alas, I have knives and cutting boards already, but they're lovely to look at. You can buy them at Whole Foods and Amazon.com.
