ideo suite
I've been agonizing for weeks about how to rearrange my home office, and it happens that today I found this appealing space by IDEO on their new website. They created this extended-stay suite for Marriott for 1/100th of the cost of a typical suite using "rapid spatial prototyping." I'm not sure what that means, but if this is the result, I'd love IDEO to rapidly prototype my office space.

dollhouse
How incredibly awesome! I am really excited about this post. Above is an abandoned farmhouse transformed into a life sized dollhouse by Canadian artist, Heather Benning; it even looks like the dollhouse I had as a kid. More info here. via ohdeedoh

I'll be away for the next few days (hopefully) enjoying some sun in this lovely place. I'll be back and blogging at the end of next week. Cheers!

j.crew luggage
j.crew has some kick-butt luggage these days, both leather and Globe Trotter centenary edition hard case. It's not exactly affordable, but worth an oggle. via notcot

picture perfect
Looking for a solution to my fiance's hodgepodge of photos atop the piano, I found this lovely affordable kit from Perfect Picture Wall. It comes with a choice of frames, mats, mounting squares, templates for marking the location of hooks, and free shipping.

HomArt
I've long been a fan of HomArts decorative products. They have a collection of home accessories with lovely and tasteful vintage illustrations. Their trade site is only open to retailers, but in the meantime you can get a little taste of their stuff on their public site, or a stores such as Paper Source.

the funniest thing I've seen in a long time
Calling card from the lovely press, Blue Barnhouse; caption on their site reads, "Yes, THAT Dave Chappelle." I love it.
